Augie's, which opened earlier this year, is a great local alternative for both families and couples, with a solid steakhouse menu. The list of hand-carved, dry-aged steaks has filet mignon, ribeyes and Porterhouse ó along with surf & turf, seafood and chicken. (They even have a kids' menu). After a total renovation, the dining room is handsome, with gleaming wood floors, sophisticated textiles, and a upscale feel. A large bar hosts guest bartenders, big screen TVs, and an amazing happy hour, where the wings are 25-cents each and draft beer is $1.50.
