Inside: Vintage Cafe in Beacon
Rebecca Mensch grew up in Beacon and has seen it go through a lot of changes over the years. The latest changes to the east side of Main Street brought increased activity in the area and got her particularly excited.
She and her husband, Todd, had wanted to open a restaurant for years, and it seemed like it was finally time.
The design theme at Vintage Cafe is heavy on the Hudson Valley, with maps and signs of businesses from days past. The seasonal menu of the restaurant is a bit of a throwback as well. The restaurant offers plenty of comfort food like chicken pot pie, beef stew, and homemade cakes and pies, most of which is available to go.
