Inside: Hudson Grille in White Plains

Owners Brian Mahon and Paul Dillane are trying to pump up the casual-but-elegant vibe by moving away from typical pub fare at the Hudson Grille in White Plains.

The menu uses local ingredients and includes Prince Edward Island mussels with coconut, lemongrass and curry, a fennel-beet salad, seafood stew and steak frites. A 30-foot, black granite bar dominates the outdoor beer garden, which also features a glass awning and cascading waterfall. The spacious dining room includes leather seating, stacked stone walls and classic red velvet drapes.
