In a rush? Or do you feel like a sit-down lunch? Either way, Posa Posa in Nanuet's Rockland Center aims to please.

On one side is a bustling pizzeria with plenty of seats, high chairs and bantering counter guys, who make a show of rolling and tossing the dough. On the other, dim lighting and butterscotch booths provide a mellower environment, meant for a more chill dining experience. A large bar separates the two — meaning, yes, on the dining-room side you can get wine with your pasta. Either way, Posa Posa (dare we say, so nice they named it twice?) satisfies different appetites: those who want a casual slice or a meal to go, as well as those who have a tad more time or simply want more atmosphere.

I opted for the dining room, where a $7.75 lunch special attracted me. There aren't many places today where you can find a two-course meal — salad/soup and entrée — with enough leftovers to take home. My chicken with broccoli was perfectly pounded, with a nice, mild garlic sauce, while my friend's ravioli was stuffed with cheese and swimming in sauce. The pieces were large, too — no mass-produced pasta here!

What also impressed me about the menu was the wide range of healthy choices. At least 25 entrées have the heart-healthy logo, as part of the Steps to a Healthier New York restaurant program. They're also willing to make additional accommodations, should you require them.

And then, of course, there's the variety of pizza choices: whole wheat, regular and Sicilian, meatball, green pepper, vegetarian delight, buffalo chicken — even gluten-free! — as well as 9-inch individual pizzetas. The slice I sampled from a "regular," 18-inch cheese pie had me at "hello." Served piping hot, with a thin crust that was slightly burned and bubbly, it was the ideal combination of crunch and tenderness. Though it had plenty of cheese, it wasn't greasy — a solid balance between cheese and sauce.

Even better: There was enough to take home for dinner.
