Typically, a granita is a coarser, grainier version of a sorbet, eaten with a spoon as a between-courses palate cleanser or as a cooling dessert. But at Art Café, Nyack's Middle Easternesque coffeehouse, granitas are an icy beverage, like a 7-Eleven slushy in texture but  with way more oomph and sophistication in flavor. Two flavors are available every day from a rotating lineup, and if the lemonade version is on hand, snatch it up. Got a fever? Forget aspirin. Take two granitas.
