Crabtree's Kittle House
John Crabtree of Crabtree's Kittle House in Chappaqua says that an informal poll of his managers came up with several options, from two martinis and the free garlic parsley chips at the bar while listening to the piano music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, to eight oysters on the half shell from the Tap Room menu with a glass of Captain Lawrence Espresso Stout.
"But I suppose the best way to go would be to order the $18 lunch that we offer every weekday," Crabtree says. This includes a choice of soup (butternut squash, wild mushroom or lobster bisque) or salad (Caesar; Field Greens & Anjou Pear with Maple-Soy Vinaigrette; or Clementines and Frisee with Rainbeau Ridge Goat Cheese) and a choice of sandwich (Sirloin Burger with Aged Cheddar, Smoked Bacon, Melted Onions on a Balthazar Bun; Breast of Organic Chicken BLT; or Grilled Prime Skirt Steak on Ciabatta).
