Full Dish: Woody's in Cornwall
“Eat seasonal, eat local, eat together” is the motto of Woody's, a quaint roadside style eatery in Cornwall. To owner Deke Hazirjian, it's all about fresh local ingredients that are treated and served up with love and respect from the Hudson Valley to the customer. It's a great place to meet with a group of friends or for a first date for a casual atmosphere and an upscale take on the fast food you know and love.
The old-fasioned burgers at Woody's are cooked medium to medium-rare unless otherwise specified but if you ask for it well done, you're missing the point: The local beef is ultra-flavorful, and the top-notch toppings complement the burgers, grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches nicely. Homemade milkshakes and sides, like hand-cut fries and crispy onion "hay" rings, are as fresh as they are fun to eat.
