Marc Charles Steakhouse in Armonk
Marc Mazzarulli, the owner and chef of Marc Charles Steakhouse, is offering diners The Five O'Clock Whistle Special. The name harkens to the good old days when workers marked quitting time - and thus dinner - by the 5 o'clock whistle. Mazzarulli also owns the nearby Opus 465, and this new place, in the La Quinta Hotel, has a stylish steakhouse atmosphere and the meat to match. Normally, dinner can set you back $100 a person.
Price: $50 per person.
What it includes: The three-course dinner begins with a Caesar or wedge salad, a choice of entrees (possibilities include chicken marsala, a 22-ounce porterhouse-cut porkchop, an 8-ounce filet mignon or salmon), then a warm apple crisp or crème brulee for dessert.
Available: 5-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
