Vox Bar & Restaurant in North Salem
Yes, economizing is going on even in northern Westchester, despite the abundance of millionaires, so Jean and Sophie Lebris, the owners of charming Vox, have followed suit, offering a terrific deal for those who love classic bistro cuisine. "In this economy you have to be creative, so that people can come out without spending too much money," Jean Lebris says.
Price: $30 per person.
What it includes: The three-course special, which changes weekly, starts with two choices of appetizer, usually a soup or salad. (Recent choices included a winter squash soup, seafood corn chowder, frisée aux lardons and a goat cheese salad); then two entrée choices (pork chops, and an Arctic char in a saffron sauce) then dessert.
Available: 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 1-8:30 p.m. Sunday.
