Anna Shea Chocolates

When the artistically inclined Anna Shea emigrated from Finland, chocolate was not on her mind. She was in the U.S. to work as an au pair. After that gig, she'd stay in the States and attend college, where she studied psychology. To help pay for expenses, she got a part-time job at a local store, the defunct Danielle's Chocolatier in Mount Kisco. It was an after-school job that would change her life.
Metromix sent Maureen Fleming to report on and photograph Anna Shea Chocolates' factory and Tarrytown store.
