All Access: Art Café in Nyack

Dorit Kramer opened up Art Café in 2004 with a simple idea in mind: Create a space where people felt at home and serve coffee and good food while they were there. The approach has been so successful, she expanded the seating area to the back of the Nyack restaurant. 

Kramer learned hospitality from her mother, Pnina, while growing up in Israel, and developed a love for cooking Middle Eastern cuisine. The all-vegetarian and all-organic menu at Art Cafe is a mix of traditional and new ideas, but this is not your typical vegetarian joint. There are no veggie burgers, tofu or meat substitutes, yet the food is filling and flavorful.
