I've followed blog/zagat/newspaper reviews before and left many places dissapointed. I have tried to find the spot where the food is as good as the review and it wasnt until I got to the Pony did I think that they underestimated the place. I read a few reviews on the PONY, all good, all confirming I was going to have a good time. Maybe I was really hungry or maybe the food was really what the NYT described, "fast food of the future". Top quality products in everything they make. They even feature snappy crispy organic hot dogs, whcih can be grilled split to a crisp. I had a dog, my sister had a quesadilla and we shared the Charro - a great burger with a spicy chipotle sauce. We upgraded to the sweet potate fries and were in heaven. We were so happy that we've been back another time and expect to do it again. Is it worth teh 25 minute drive for me? Yes, I get an amazing hot dog and I get to see my sister. Now, if they only served beer.
