44 Tapas Lounge

The small strip-mall space at 44 Tapas was formerly home to a Mexican restaurant, and that probably won't surprise you, because the dining room's tropical gold color and wrought-iron chandelier still recall the South-of-the-Border days. For better or worse, the tapas here are bigger than authentic small-plate portions — they're closer to appetizer, or even entrée size. Those who like super-rich dishes will swoon over the mac 'n' cheese with lobster.
