The former chef for Mayors David Dinkins and Rudy Giuliani has turned her passion to cooking into a passion for a homey restaurant that aims to please. The cuisine is Italian, from both the southern and northern regions (Anna Maria Santorelli, the chef, is from Naples originally), and has a contemporary flair. Winners include Gnocchi Alla Napolitano and Sauteed Duck Breasts with Frangelico Sauce. In the spring, there are outdoor tables that, at night, are brimming with gorgeous candles.
