There's a special time each day at The Cupcake Kitchen and Luncheonette in Irvington.
Jennifer O'Connell puts out her freshly baked signature cupcakes at 11:30 a.m. - and then watches them disappear.
O'Connell opened the shop in late May, after giving up a Manhattan career in the fashion industry for something closer to home. She lives just down the block. Over the summer, the luncheonette has become the spot for low-key late breakfasts, casual lunches or dinners and plenty of ice cream.
O'Connell, a strict vegetarian, has tried to balance the menu: hamburgers and hot dogs are served alongside arugula salad and veggie burgers.
