To: Mishka666, the sequence vest was fall '86, not after '87. The ladies on the field did not pick the outfits, that was typically left to a small group of men who sat in their stadium boxes all warm looking down on the field. Now to the time comment, time has nothing to do with the uniforms. Fans, if you don't like what is going on with your teams - get involved to change things. Sitting around complaining fixes nothing. Those who can't, criticize. Those who can, get involved.

Just say this movie this morning and it was great. Go see this you will love it. 3 1/2 stars.
Mishka666 commented on St. Louis Cardinals Cheerleaders
There was a huge change in the look of the squad after 1987. The girls looked trashy and the white leotards and red sequin vests and bow ties! What a joke. And don't get me started about the hair. We looked up some of them on face book and all I can say is mooooooo!! Time has not been kind, Debbie !

Amidst all the second guessing it's good to know Obama completely deserved his Nobel Peace Prize for being elected to President while being half-black.

michaelw40204 - February 12, 2010 at 1:02 PM How did Denzel get Best Actor in 2001 for Training Day over Sean Penn in I Am Sam?!?!?! Everybody knows you never go full retard.
TerryGibson commented on Best Picture of 1941
Drinky, you hit the nail on the head there! Hearst basically stopped "Citizen Kane" from being played in any major movie theater because he knew and saw "Citizen Kane" as an unauthorized biography of himself... and he sure didn't like what he saw!
TerryGibson commented on Best Actor of 1992
Couldn't disagree more. Denzel is a great actor, without question, and he was awarded an Academy Award for "Training Day" (he was much better in that movie), as well as Supporting Actor for "Glory". I loved him in "Malcolm X", but Pacino was absolutely Masterful, as he often is, with "Scent of a Woman". The speech he gave at the end in defense of the character Charlie is one of the most inspiring and viewed clips on Youtube alone! The Academy DID get it right.
DonQuichote commented on Sundance Film Festival Diaries 2012: 'Queen of Versailles'
Take a look at a photo in Politiken /kultur/ECE907085/mads-brgger-dansk-journalistik-er-meget-kedelig/ and see how Brugger presents himself like a neo Nazi on horseback. That explains why he hates Africans and ridicules the TWA pygmy people. Brugger used hidden cameras and false pretences to record and film confidential meetings and telephone conversations without informing his victims or asking them permission or approval by means of adversarial response. Then he edited a documentary film with a specific “Tunnel Vision” to transform a fantasy-fetish into reality to proof his mistrust under the slogan “The end justifies the means!”.
DonQuichote commented on Sundance Film Festival Diaries 2012: 'Queen of Versailles'
The Ambassador is subversive and incendiary documentary film in which the maker Brugger unveils himself as an unscrupulous forger with the sole intention to purposely damage the interest of individuals and governments for his own glory to sell his product. The film is produced with public money from the Danish Filminstitute and financed/produced with a budget of €1 million by Lars Von Trier (Zentropa), a controversial film-director who admitted in Cannes in 2010 to being a Nazi, understanding Hitler. Under influence/inspiration of Von Trier’s ideology, Danish journalist Brugger purposefully took several steps beyond the rules, both written and unwritten. It is clearly a documentary film based on fascistic roots.

Now I love Dick Clark and am as nostalgic as anybody around but PLEASE retire him!!! It was pitiful trying to listen to him last night. They propped him up and painted him orange I think? He should attend thats ok but he cannot man the desk and give commentary please !!

This film was enchanting, a MUST-SEE! Best movie I've seen in a long time.....Martin Scorsese is Brilliant ~ the cinematography was wonderful! I highly recommend it to any age group. Beautiful story line and set in Paris in the 20's/30's. Hope Scorsese wins BIG for this one! It is a masterpiece of a film and has twists and turns that will keep you interested and delighted. Excellent work, Scorsese.
Luaunna commented on 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' review
What movie was this critic watching? This movie is terrible, terrible. No character development, no clear cut relationships or alliances (other than Peter and Smiley). The movie lacked intensity and even a line to follow what was going on. I have seen the 6 hour BBC MiniSeries of TTSS and this new movie is a very poor substitute. You want intrigue, intricit spy work, a clear definition of who is who and why, rent the original where Alec Guiness plays a flawless George Smiley. It will be the best 6 hours you have spent. As I watched this movie Saturday night, I sat and wondered, for those in the audience who had not seen the original, how could they even follow it. Key members of the Circus were not identified until well into the movie. The flashback scenes were not clear thats what they were unless you noticed the difference in eyewear that George wore. Very bad.

tjrum commented on 'A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas' review
Disappointed. That's how I left the latest installment of Roldy and Kumar's ongoing saga that began in a White Castle long, long ago. The witty humor that made the original such a classic is far gone, and the newest, 3D Christmas version relies too heavily on toilet humor, sexual references, and celebrity. I'm still a fan of the Harold and Kumar movies, and will definitely see any more that happen to be released--I just hope the writers will revisit what made me a fan in the first place-well thought out humor.
