Chiefs commented on Sports bars of the Hudson Valley

TF Noonan's in Pearl River is a great venue. 16 TVS indoor and outdoor(with bar) seating Great food, and great Football Specials on Sat and Sunday. Should be on the list.

Don't forgot the Finnegan's Grill in Thornwood. It's got at least 15 Plasma TV's and a large projector screen.

Godfathr03 commented on Shawn Keenan wins Metromix Hudson Valley's tattoo contest

I think this tattoo is amazing...the picture doesn't really do justice, because in person the shading etc...makes it look so REAL! Aside from the fact that it has such REAL MEANING BEHIND IT, and reminds us of our FREEDOM and what so many have sacrificed to ensure we continue to enjoy those FREEDOMS!!!

clmcya commented on You talk: Michael Jackson's death

Pleeeease do not let this be another Anna Nicole "thing"! Michael Jackson did what he wanted to do. Finding someone to blame will not help anything but the sale of papers and magazines. Turning off the tv when it turns to bunk about his death is a good thing...healthy. Say a prayer and let him go. Mourn, but then let him go. God bless us all before and after death.

hemi commented on Learn to ride a motorcycle in the Hudson Valley

"And now my future mother-in-law, cousin Megan and I all have our licenses. I am still unsure if I will get a bike or not. I am still taking it all in." That class was just the tip of the iceberg. It takes a good year of practice riding to become reasonably competent on a motorcycle. Anyone who is not willing to devote the time it takes to practice becoming a better rider should hang it up for their own safety.

"...I don’t need a leather jacket ..." Oh yes you do need leathers or some equivalent product. It's for protection. Big difference between falling in a parking lot and on the highway. The better ones have energy absorbing "armor" pads in them.

"I thought they were nuts, honestly. They wanted me to turn my head completely over my shoulder, losing all sight of what was in front of me? Um, no thanks, I like my nose where it is on my face." Hopefully, they taught you what COUNTER STEERING is. It's the only way that bike will turn fast when you are going 60mph

VickyS8455 commented on Q&A: Paul Teutul Sr. of Orange County Choppers

I was surprised to see that no one had posted a comment! But, I will contimue with mine.....I think it is great that a man like Paul can build a business from the ground up and make it successful. And, that he does it with his sons. In today's world there are so many people who just walk way from things when the going gets tough or they have to do some work. This man turned his love of bikes into a dream career (I dare not call it a "job."). That his soft spot is for his dogs makes me smile since my beagle Jessie Baby Girl is my heart. She kept me alive after I lost my mom and my best friend within a year of each other. Good luck, Paul Tuetul, Senior of Orange County from this chopper lover in White Plains!

stayed for 2 days. Not to recommended at all. Hotel did changed the name from Best western to Mercury Grand. it was big surprise for me. Breakfast was poor Quality. Long wait and one man show. Major issue is bug's on Bed. Make sure you are not carrying bed bug with you while returning home. New Hampton just a mile way is best. Very Very Poor Ratings for Mercury Grand Hotel, Poughkeepsie

bcsmith23 commented on Flashed: Beer & Food Fest Barbecue Brew Bash

Metromix's pictures are great, the festival was awful! I went to the 7pm-11pm Saturday night session and it was too crowded (you could not walk around) and most of the beer vendors left before 9pm! I am not sure where the 150+ beers were, my crew of 10 only counted about 15 and that included such exotic choices as Bud Lite with lime and Budweiser. I would like to comment on the food, but I did not want to wait in line for 30+ minutes for a slider from Mortons (I bought a $14 room-service burger from the Double Tree - it wasn't bad and the fries were great). I paid an extra $30 for the "VIP" ticket. What did I get? Access to strawberry vodka (yes strawberry) and Hudson River Whiskey (which was actually great). No beer and one food booth (that only had small steak samplers every 15 minutes or so). No beer and (almost) no food in the VIP section? Boo! Only thing that made it worse was the lingering cigar smoke (from cigars you had to buy).
