If there was a half a star I would give it. Please make sure your credit card is charged correctly. They will rob you then say, "Well you paid the bill...."

It really nice to be able to sit and enjoy a meal with my son and father. The atmosphere is incredible as the sun shines through the trees and the smell of home cooking is in the air. The food was really good and the staff were incredible nice. Inside the store we found pies and donuts that put Dunkin Donuts to shame. I definitely recommend this place over any dinner as the food is higher quality. I would also recommend this place to anyone who likes quality food and a good, unique time!

My family and I went there on Mother's Day and what a blast we had! The food is outstanding and the music was great. Inside the store you will find many unique gifts and awesome snacks, pastries, and jarred goods. It is also nice to buy local and know that there are human hands producing a product and not some machine an ocean away. It definitely makes the experiences of buying and using their product more special and intimate. Also, the people of the farm and incredibly pleasant and easy to talk to. We will definitely be going back!

The food is excellent and top quality. Definitely come hungry as they serve healthy portions of fresh-made food. I can honestly say they have the best bacon I have ever had, which is there own thick-cut maple smoked bacon. The store is quant with items you won't see in many other places. All of the pastries, pies, jams, pickles, and jellies are made on the farm and are out of this world. And to top it off the staff really know what they are talking about, whether it be raw honey for allergies or what the differences is between the grades of maple syrup. Bring the family, bring your friends, or just bring yourself, either way you won't be disappointed.

I was so looking forward to visiting Niese Farm but was screamed at by a lady there that worked there. Very stressful morning, not what I expected at all.

I was so excited about this place after westchester magazine rated them a top bar, but I am going to write an angry letter to westchester mag when I am done with this. This bar was AWFUL. If the blasting terrible music wasn't bad enough (Which it was) the drinks were HORRIBLE. The bartender had absolutely no idea what she was doing- they all came out tasting like rubbing alcohol. They just weren't well mixed martinis- when you get the ingredient proportions right it tastes amazing- but this was really the worst martini of my life. If that wasn't bad enough- (which once again...it was) there was no one there. And further- the one other customer we had proceeded to cuddle and make out with the bartender IN FRONT OF US while she was working. It was incredibly awkward and honestly no way to do business. The location is also pretty awful as this bar is in a bad area.

Anthony's Pier 9 has served as my wife's employer holiday party place for as long as I can recall. We highly recommend this place as an upscale nearby place to enjoy one's self with family and friends. The ambiance is welcome in a generally tough area, and the servers and owners are well respected and very accommodating. Thanks, H & A Sandiford

I am very upset to see the bogus reviews this couple wrote. I happened to arrive shortly before this couple left.. The woman was very unfriendly & just walked around taking lots of photos. I remember them because we all remarked how strangely they acted plus they had no interest in looking at or buying anything. What couple would bother to write individual reviews unless they had an agenda of their own, which I strongly suspect. I later heard they may possibly want to compete with products of their own. My garden club and neighbors are long time and frequent visitors to the Niese family farm and have enjoyed their open friendly welcome each time. The grueling hours and hard work these people do puts most of us to shame. They deserve high praise, not those nasty reviews. A friend told me about the shocking negative reviews today and I am compelled to counter them. Better late than never. YOU'RE IN FOR A SPECIAL TREAT IF YOU VISIT THE MAPLE FARM,ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR WITH PUMPKINS GALORE AND THE SCENTS OF GREAT PIES!

This list was jam packed this spring, but now that summer is winding down, most of them are over. Is there something we missed?

Don't even bother with this establishment if you don't have hours to spend. The family that runs this place are very full of themselves, and seem to think that it is a privilege for their customers to camp out on the picnic tables under the tress on their property while they wait over an hour for a simple scrambled eggs & bacon breakfast. A rooster in a cage and a few country signs are supposed to make you yearn for yesteryear. If this is what they consider country hospitality, one would indeed be better off at a diner - at least there you get service with a smile. Overpriced as well.

We had a terrible experience at this "so called" farm this morning. Arrived at 10:00 am for breakfast, and by 11:20 still hadn't received it. When we inquired when our meal would arrive, we were rudely told that only one person was cooking, and that we had to be patient. We had to purchase cheese from their "shop" while we were waiting for our meal to sustain us. This cost us an additional $10 (breakfast for two came to $25.00). After we could wait no longer, we asked for our money back, and the woman behind the counter started screaming at us that "that was her mother back there" cooking. She carried on her tirade as we left, literally starving. And I wouldn't recommend bringing children. There are signs on literally everything warning against "children touching". Worst experience we've ever had in an eatery, and we dine out often.

I had a group of kids who wanted to play mini-golf and I saw this place had glow in the dark golf. We called up and spoke with them to see what was available. Keith went through all of the options with us and we ultimately chose to do one of their combos where we got the mini golf and an ice cream sundae. The kids had a blast, made a couple of hole-in-one's and chowed down the ice cream. Everyone we spoke with was very pleasant, the kids (and adults) had a blast...we are planning on going back soon.

So here is my experience with The Sports Place and the reason why everyone should stay away from this place. I purchased 3 groupons at $24 a piece and each value $50. So I have a total of $150 in groupons. I made my reservation to go there however I couldn't make it so I forfeited my groupons. I then look at my credit card statement and see I was charged $128 by The Sports Place. When I spoke with Keith, TSP manager, and I asked him why I was charged $128 his response was that I was charged $178 for the no show but since I had 1 groupon he adjusted off $50 making the total he charged my card $128. I told him I was very unhappy with this and felt I shouldn't have been charged at all and felt they should have just forfeited my groupon and not charged my card. He said that he was the "poor merchant" and that Groupon makes all the money. I explained to him its not up to me how they construct their business. I then told him I had 3 groupons NOT 1. He said he only had me down for 1 groupon. I even emailed him and attached all 3 of my groupons so he could see I wasn't lying and I did indeed have three. And I never heard back from him. The following is my point. It's bad enough the Sports Place wants to charge me the no show cancellation charge for the full price when most groupon merchants just forfeit your groupons and not charge your card. It's bad enough they tell me its my fault they didn't know I had three groupons. But to charge me $128 for no reason is ridiculous. The total of my reservation was $178. Per Keith, the Sports Place took off $50 because of the one groupon they knew I had which brought the total to $128 (the amount they charged my card). Using that knowledge, since I had three groupons shouldn't I only be charged $28 instead of $128? If you do the math $178 (total of reservation) - $150 (total of 3 groupons)= $28. If they were going to charge me anything it should be $28, the difference of the original price and my groupons. I really don't think that's unreasonable on my half. They need to be consistent instead of making up their own polices to take my money. How could they justify taking $50 off the total because I had one groupon and not honor the other two I bought. In fact it is only fair and anything they do beyond that on my half, such as not charging me anything and instead of just having me forfeit my groupons, would show even greater good will on their half. Not only am I unhappy with their customer service and their polices but their ethical standards are horrible. I still haven't heard back from Keith. I hate to thrash them llike this but I feel I have every right to share my experience. STAY AWAY FROM THE SPORTS PLACE.

Our son just had his 7th birthday party here and it was a blast. We weren't sure what to do, as he wanted to do sports, but went through the roof when he saw the inflatables. The front desk people explained everything to us and ultimately suggested that we stick with the sports party and add on time in the inflatables. Even after almost 3 hours, the kids didn't want to leave. The entire staff, from the front desk to the coaches to the redmeption workers were great. We saw they just added an ice cream parlor (sadly after we had our party), so we'll just have to go back to sample a hot fudge sundae.

I dont know how anyone could say that the family, and employees at Niese's maple farm are unprofessional. Probably this person is NOT meant for the farm atmosphere, or perhaps didnt get his/her way. Just the mention of Niese's maple farm brings fourth loads of fun filled memories for the family!!! Not to mention delicious homemade, food, and a very friendly, inviting atmosphere that is very hard to come by these days! If you are looking for "Drive Up" or "I WANT IT NOW" then perhaps you should go else where, Niese's is meant for a sit and stay, enjoy and relax, and BREATHE, type of visit. If you want your food right when you walk in the door, then please go to MCDonalds, or a diner, if you want a place to build memories with your family, be enticed by delicous smells and sights, be reminded of the charm and warmth of long ago, and to be welcomed like family, to sit and stay a spell then by all means visit Niese's Maple farm.
