While on a USO tour with fellow comics affiliated with Howard Stern's radio show, Di Paolo had just wrapped up an Afghanistan gig when the base where he was performing came under attack. Everyone emerged unharmed, but who knows how safe the Hudson Valley audience will be? Returning to the village he once called home, the brutally honest comedian recently took center stage at Tarrytown Music Hall.
With the gig approaching, Metromix Hudson Valley associate producer Chris Serico asked Di Paolo 10 questions to learn more about gigging locally, working with Chris Rock and solving deer overpopulation in the Hudson Valley.
What's it like headling your first major Westchester gig?
Actually, it's my second. I headlined the BJ's Wholesale grand opening in Peekskill. Just kidding. It's very exciting.
