Looking to check out a sweet fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July in the Hudson Valley? Metromix compiled a list of the biggest, best and most fun fireworks shows in the Hudson Valley, from West Point to Playland.

Nanuet music festival and fireworks

Nanuet Senior High School - 103 Church St. - Nyack-Piermont area

FDR Drive will provide the tunes on a night when fireworks will light up the sky in Nanuet. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Nanuet High School auditorium.

White Plains fireworks

White Plains High School - 550 North St. White Plains - White Plains area

Head over to White Plains High School to enjoy the fireworks display! Entertainment on the main stage will be provided by a Billy Joel Tribute Group. After the official welcome and presentation of the flag, entertainment provider International Fireworks will illuminate the sky with a spectacular fireworks display.

Playland - 1 Playland Pkwy - Rye

How do you make a fun place like Playland even more fun? Throw in some fireworks, of course! The colorful explosions in Rye will be at the pier on July 1, 3 and 4.

East Fishkill Recreational Park fireworks and concert

Adam & the Newhearts will perform and there will be fireworks at 9:15 p.m. The rain date is July 3.

Louis Engel Waterfront Park fireworks display

Get a jump on the celebration! Louis Engel Waterfront Park will host free entertainment by Channel One and fireworks to kick off the holiday weekend!

Dutchess County Fairgrounds fireworks weekend

It will be a weekend of festivities at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. On July 2 and 3, it is the Demolition Derby & Megasaurus Car Crusher! The gates open at 4:30 p.m., ticket sales are at 5:30 p.m. and the Derby begins at 7! On July 4,  it is the HV Philharmonic & Fireworks! Gates open at 6 p.m., Philharmonic at 8 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. Adults are $12, a Carload is $45 and children under 12 are free.

West Haverstraw concert and fireworks

The 52nd Street Band will perform at 7 p.m. in West Haverstraw.  The fireworks will start directly after the show.  The rain date is July 3.

New Paltz July 4th celebration

New Paltz is celebrating the 4th of July with music, food and a festival. There will be fireworks at 5 p.m.. The rain date is July 3.

Greenwood Lake July 4th celebration

The Village of Greenwood Lake will have a parade and a fireworks display. The parade is at 11 a.m and the fireworks will be at dusk.

Middletown Stars and Stripes Celebration

Festivities begin at 7 p.m., featuring live music by the Swing Shift Orchestra. There will also be a fireworks show at dusk.

City of Beacon Independence Day fireworks display

Head to Beacon for their yearly fireworks celebration, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday!

Kensico Dam music fest and fireworks

Kensico Dam - Bronx River Parkway - Valhalla

Before the fireworks fest, the Wanderers will kick off the night and the Gerard Crelli Orchestra will follow. Gates open at 5 p.m. for picnicking. The fireworks display is set to start at 9:15 p.m.

The St. Luke's orchestra will kick off a night of fun by saluting the nation's birthday!  Music acts to follow.  A fireworks display show will take place directly after the concert.

Independence Day Celebration at West Point

The West Point Band will continue its free “Music Under the Stars” concert series as it celebrates Independence Day on Monday, July 4 at 8 p.m. at the Trophy Point Amphitheatre. The Concert Band will perform great American pieces such as Egner’s Official West Point March and Isham’s Army Strong. The West Point Band’s high-energy popular music group, the Benny Havens Band will take the stage with the Concert Band before a short solo performance. The concert will end with a spectacular fireworks display provided by West Point’s FMWR, set to the music of the West Point Band and West Point’s Cadet Glee Club. Please allow extra travel time for the 100 percent vehicle and photo I.D. inspection at Stony Lonesome and Thayer gates. Due to changing security requirements at West Point, call the Academy Band’s hotline at 845-938-2617, or check their Web site.

The Peekskill Fire Department hosts a full night of fun activities, music and fireworks starting at 7 p.m.

Port Chester July 4th Celebration

Celebrate the nation's birthday with entertainment, fireworks and more by the famous Grucci family.

Harbor Island Park carnival, parade and fireworks

Fireworks will be a huge highlight of the Firemen's Carnival from June 28-July 5. It is a weeklong celebration in Mamaroneck. Annual 4th of July Fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m. The rain date is July 1.

This fireworks display usually has an audience of 3,000 people! There will also be a concert at 8 p.m. at Memorial Park.
