Playland
America's first totally planned amusement park, Playland is home to more than 50 rides and attractions, including the Dragon Coaster, famous for providing inspiration for Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" music video and the backdrop for pivotal scenes in the Tom Hanks movie "Big." During warmer months, Playland hosts concerts and grants access to a beach, pool, boardwalk and pier on scenic Long Island Sound as well as lake boating, a picnic area and mini golf. During the winter, there's indoor ice-skating at the Playland Ice Casino.
