Q&A with psychic Francine Tesler
Francine Tesler, a Bronx native who calls herself a "psychic for people who don't usually go to psychics," can often be found predicting the future of bar and restaurant dwellers in the Hudson Valley. Sure, she'll discuss your romantic life and your professional track. But she's also been known to chat with law officials about her premonitions.
Metromix interviewed Tesler and caught up with her during a session at Lucy's Lounge in Pleasantville.
When did you first know that you were psychic?
Since I was a child. One of the things that I always tell people is I thought everybody was the same as me. I can see images. My aunt died when I was about 5 or 6 years old, and my family just told me that she was in heaven, but I didn't understand that. So, a couple of days later, I'm talking to somebody that's sitting on a chair, and my mom's like, "Who are you talking to?" And my aunt — I used to call her Auntie Laugh — because she had a big laugh — I was talking to her, and my mom was like, "Oh, Auntie Laugh is in heaven." And I said to my mom, "No, Auntie Laugh is sitting here and she's got something she wants me to tell you." Supposedly I told my parents that they should be nice to my uncle, and about six months later, my uncle remarried and my parents got really upset with him. And the ultimate thing is that he died a few months later and the whole family was cut out of the will.
