Learn to ride a motorcycle in the Hudson Valley
by Michele Biaso, Metromix
I’d like to consider myself a pretty well-rounded kinda girl. I’ve always tried to learn new things and take some risks now and then. But the one thing I never really considered myself was a biker chick.
So, when my future mother-in-law and cousin tried to con me into attending a two-day motorcycle instruction class with them, my first instinct was to laugh.
I mean, I don’t even own anything leather.
I have a few tattoos, but nothing worthy of pulling up to a biker bar and knocking a few back. Not to mention, I lie about my height (don’t tell the DMV), because I am blessed with being the size of some pre-teens.
How would I ever even lift a bike?
Either the "what if’s" piqued my curiosity or I have an inner biker chick, because by the next day, I was enrolled in the SmartRider Motorcycle Safety Program. And I was kinda excited about it.
Here's a look at the course and how you can learn how to ride and get your license with two days. So, don't wait for your Bucket List, do it now!
