Flashed: Beacon East End Presents
Beacon's first ever BEEP event (Beacon East End Presents) took place on Saturday. Galleries were open late, music was playing, and Next Step organized a great party at the Piggy Bank to support the Electric Windows, with live performances and DJs from around the country.
The night included an artists' reception and opening of the Over/Under show at Open Space Gallery and the opening of Tom Brown's show, "Postcards from Hopeless, Maine," at Zahra Studio. Go North gallery was open late to show Caroline Ruttle's works on paper. Bottle of Smoke was playing at Zahra Studio, and Russ St. George played Joe's Irish Pub.
Next Step topped off the evening with their party at the Piggy Bank, where El Jeffe started off the evening, musician Jeff Bujak stopped by on his tour, Bobby C Sound TV mixed sound and video live, and DJ Wisdom ended the evening.
