Nyack music curfew extends to 2 a.m.

Nyack music curfew now 2 a.m.

With hot spots that include Black Bear Saloon, Olive's and Luna Lounge, Nyack's nightlife scene has been known to bring the noise in Rockland County. But when live musicians, DJs and other performers had wanted to pump up the volume, they'd been told to turn it down — or off — at 11 p.m., due to a village noise ordinance.

But because of a village board meeting on Feb. 12, there's no need to put on your PJs when the clock strikes 11 in the near future. On a trial basis, the village board that night voted to extend the music curfew until 2 a.m.
