Jim Svetz is an expert in creating spaces where people feel comfortable hanging out for hours. This is apparent to the loyal customers of the popular Muddy Cup coffee shop chain in the Hudson Valley, which Svetz recently sold. His newest endeavor, Chill Wine Bar in Beacon, is yet another example. Chill has a more adult vibe than a coffee shop, but is just as accessible.

Wine prices range from $5 to $9 by the glass, and nothing on the menu is more than $40. Chill also offers small plates, including cheese platters. A few desserts—including wine ice cream—top off the menu. Food prices range from $5 to $12. 

With several seating options— including the bar, tables, cozy window seats and cushy chairs tucked away in the back—there is a place for everyone to feel welcome at Chill. It is a place to unwind and stay awhile, kick back and chill out.
