Inside Lucy's Lounge Lucy's Lucy's Lucy's

To get a sip of the big city — without actually having to get up and go — Lucy’s Lounge is where it’s at. You can revel in all the exquisites, without the hustle and bustle of the crowded streets and the presumptuous air.

After all, this is Pleasantville.

Situated in the heart of the town, right next to the train station, Lucy’s offers an eclectic array of drinks, live music and a jumpin' Friday happy hour.

Its proximity to the city, coupled with regular visits from well-known personalities, make this bar unique. It also breeds enough talent to make it the go-to place for live music.

Attire: Since the clientele is generally over the age of 25, mostly everyone opts for the business casual approach, with a little rock 'n’ roll thrown in. Add a dose of funk into your wardrobe and you'll fit right in with the hip crowd at Lucy's.

Vibe:
Lucy’s rocks a dimly lit atmosphere, plush leather black couches, several table tops and a marble bar in the center of the room. With iced cobra shaped bar taps, your mouth will immediately start watering for a glass of wine, or one of Lucy’s famous martinis.

Wander outside even in the winter. Outdoor seating and patio tables sit in a fenced, heated area. There's even a corner grill in use for special occasions.

Entertainment:
Channel your inner musician on Monday nights, or just come be a part of the crowd at the open mic. (Wednesdays are reserved for soloists and Thursdays are for duos.)

Friday, the bar opens at a special time of 3 p.m. for happy hour, easing the way into live bands that perform Friday and Saturday nights.

Not in the mood to rock out? Watch a game on the big screen TV. The crowd is always mixed with sports fans, musicians and even a celebrity or two. (Lindsay Lohan’s mom is linked to the owner. Just a rumor, but we had to share.)

Have in hand: Lucy’s features Pleasantville’s own Captain Lawrence beers among others on its taps.

But what really jams people in are the martinis.

Along with the well-known staples of apple and strawberry, some of the martinis are named after staff, like the J. Mac Martini. Need a jolt? Check out the chocolate espresso martini.
