Kelly Thomas slings drinks to help make a living, but she's already completed her first novel and dreams of a day when "Envisions" is mentioned in the same breath as "Harry Potter" and "Twilight."
"I like writing mystery, action and adventure books — novels that appeal to adults as well as kids," she says.
Thomas, a Westchester native, graduated with a literature degree from Pace University in Pleasantville. Now a Rockland resident, the 30-year-old author's constantly writing when she's not working as a bartender at Casa Del Sol in Nyack.
Metromix Hudson Valley says "write on" to that goal and asks Thomas about her regular celebrity customer, the healing powers of pizza and her secret drink that, we suppose, will remain a secret.
